Last week, we hosted a LotLinx for Facebook webinar teaching dealers how to cut their CPCs while also improving the quality of the traffic being driven to their VDPs.
The response we saw made it overwhelmingly clear that dealers are interested.
With Google’s elimination of right-rail ads, CPCs are poised to rise even higher (in an industry which has already seen its share of AdWords cost per click inflation). We’re encouraging dealers to try Facebook as an alternative to AdWords – but we’re encouraging dealers to bring the right technology to bear to make Facebook work for them.
Although many dealers are already experimenting with Facebook through their digital marketing agency vendors, their success is questionable. We just completed a month-long study of more than 100 dealers on their Facebook marketing campaigns, and we are ready to share the high-level results with you in tomorrow’s webinar.
In order to have Facebook work for your dealership, you have to do it right. Otherwise, it’s just cheap traffic.
